DENVER, CO – A hit-and-run just outside of Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora Saturday morning claimed the life of a pedestrian, according to KDVR.
Police say the woman was struck while walking in the area of East Colfax Avenue and Children’s Way at about 3:45 p.m.
The victim, an unidentified woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say she was hit by an SUV while crossing Colfax Avenue mid-block.
The driver of the vehicle involved, believed to be a Ford Explorer, fled before authorities arrived. It is unclear at this time if any arrests have been made in connection to the deadly crash.
