AURORA, CO – A pedestrian died Friday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while crossing East Colfax Avenue and Havana Street.
Aurora Police indicated in an X post (formerly known as Twitter) that this collision happened before 6 a.m. They shut down all directions of East Colfax and Havana to accommodate the investigation and scene clearance process.

Police found the suspect’s vehicle but have not apprehended the suspect. At this time, they have not released the deceased person’s name.
