DENVER, CO – A driver struck a pedestrian in the North Washington neighborhood, leading them to succumb to fatal injuries Thursday.
This collision happened before 5:30 p.m. near East 48th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, Denver Police confirmed.

First responders declared the pedestrian dead at the scene and said the driver remained at the scene.
Police shut down the southbound lanes to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process.
