DENVER, CO – A young child was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in the Longmont area on Saturday afternoon.
According to KDVR, the 5-year-old child was struck as he entered the intersection of 14th Avenue and Frontier Street shortly after 3:30 p.m.
The child was transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
The vehicle involved fled the scene before officers arrived. Witnesses told police the vehicle was a newer-model Ford F-150 dual-cab pickup truck, with a Hispanic male driving.
It is unclear if any arrests have been made at the time of this writing.
