News: Aurora rollover wreck claims one life, sends 2 to hospital

AURORA, CO – Two men were hospitalized, and an 18-year-old man died after a Mazda SUV motorist drove at a high rate and hit a median, causing the car to roll over numerous times before stopping.

This collision, reported after 9 p.m. Sunday, it happened at the East Pinewood Drive and South Wheatlands Parkway in the Tallyn’s Reach suburb, according to The Denver Post. The 18-year-old man was thrown from the car when it crashed. He was declared dead at the scene, and the first responders took the two men to an area hospital for treatment of minor wounds. 

No other vehicles were involved. 

Aurora Police shut down the intersection for approximately five hours before reopening at 2 a.m. They started an investigation but have not provided an update with regard to the men’s current conditions nor released the name of the deceased man.
