Planting Roots: Giving Back with The Park People

Planting Roots: Giving Back with The Park People On Friday, May 23, our team traded in our office gear for gardening gloves and joined forces with The Park People to plant 18 trees at Chaffee Park. We split into teams of 2–4 and spent the morning getting our hands dirty—each tree we planted had spent 2–5 years maturing before it was ready to go into the ground.

For over 50 years, The Park People have been working to green up Denver’s neighborhoods, especially those that are under-canopied. With over 60,000 trees planted and an estimated $122 million in annual environmental benefits added to our communities, their impact is deep-rooted and far-reaching.

We were guided every step of the way by The Park People’s amazing team, who made sure each tree was planted correctly and with care. A huge thank-you to them for their support and for letting us be part of this meaningful work.

And shout-out to Marcie for sparking this effort to offset our paper usage during trial prep—we love a good full-circle idea.

We can’t wait to return and see how our trees grow!
