Woman, 82, killed in motorcycle collision in Brighton

BRIGHTON, CO – An 82-year-old woman was killed in a motorcycle collision that happened on I-76 East on Thursday, CBS News reports.

Preliminary details show that just before 2:00 p.m., the 82-year-old woman, who was riding a motorcycle, crashed into a center barrier. She was thrown from her motorcycle, and her bike struck another vehicle.

An off-duty Aurora police officer rendered aid to the elderly woman prior to the arrival of Brighton police officers and EMS crews.

Medics transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died.

Speeding and impairment were not seen as contributing factors.

The victim’s name will be released once her family is notified of her passing.
