BOULDER, CO – A 38-year-old woman walking across Broadway and Rayleigh Road passed away when she was struck by a vehicle Friday.
Boulder Police said this collision happened before 5 a.m. and revealed the driver of the 2004 Honda Accord, a 27-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The Boulder Police Department is investigating a fatal crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred this morning that previously had all northbound lanes of Broadway closed at Ash Ave.

While details remain scarce, police confirmed that intoxication and speed do not appear to have played roles in this fatal wreck.
Officers issued temporary northbound Broadway lane and Ash Avenue closures to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation period.
The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s identity once her family is made aware of what befell.
