AURORA, CO — At least one person traveling inside a vehicle died after they collided with a semi-truck in the Peterson area Thursday.
Aurora Police said the collision happened before 3 a.m. at the intersection of East 32nd Ave and Airport Road. Upon arrival, officers and crews shut down the area, including the I-70 ramp, leading to Airport Road for the standard scene clearance and investigation process. During the closures, commuters were asked to seek alternative routes.

Officials reopened the intersection just before 8:30 a.m. Officers started an investigation. At this time, police did not say how the crash happened or released the victim’s name.
