DENVER, CO – A scooter rider was seriously injured when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle east of Civic Center Park in North Capitol Hill on Tuesday.
Denver Police said the crash happened before 9:15 a.m., at the intersection of East 16th Avenue and North Washington Street.

Upon arrival, crews told drivers to expect delays for the scene clearance and investigation period.
Officers did not immediately report any hospitalizations, charges, or citations. The exact cause of the collision also remains unknown at this time.
