DENVER, CO – EMS crews transported a scooter rider to a local hospital after they were struck by a vehicle along Denver South High School Wednesday.
Denver Police said the collision occurred in the 1700th block of East Louisiana Avenue and arrived at the scene before 2:15 p.m.

Ambulance personnel said the scooter rider was left in serious condition.
Police did not comment on the specifics of what circumstances contributed to the wreck, nor did they state whether the driver would face criminal charges for their involvement in the crash.
