DENVER, CO – A moped scooter operator was cited for causing a collision that sent a pedestrian to a hospital on Sunday.
Denver police announced the pedestrian versus scooter collision at 8:29 p.m., saying it took place in the area of 15th Street and Stout Street, which is in Union Station.

Police initially said the scooter rider was operating a stand-up scooter, but later confirmed that it was actually a moped scooter.
Police did not say why they cited the scooter rider.
