News: Police search for suspect after multi-vehicle wreck in Westminster

WESTMINISTER, CO – Police are actively searching for a suspect who fled the scene on foot after a multi-vehicle wreck on Friday, KDVR said. 

The events unfolded at 11 a.m. at Arvada High School. The suspect was driving recklessly, leaving from the high school before evading police on West 64th Avenue. 

Eventually, the suspect crashed into several vehicles at the 76th Ave. and Sheridan Boulevard connector. After the collision, the suspect fled the scene on foot and has not been found. 

No injuries were reported. 

Officials set up a perimeter in the Clear Creek Greenbelt and Inspiration Point neighborhoods, but have since taken it down. 

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that this was not an active pursuit.   

At this time, law enforcement has not released a description of the suspect.
