WESTMINISTER, CO – Local police shut down southbound Sheridan Boulevard and West 72 Avenue due to a collision that happened before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials have redirected traffic toward West 73rd Avenue and a block over toward 72 Ave., according to Jayson Luber from Denver 7 Traffic. All other routes should be accessible, Luber said.
This is the serious crash that has SB Sheridan closed at 72nd. I think this investigation will take a while to complete. Traffic is diverted to 73rd and then a block over to get down to 72nd. All other movements are open. pic.twitter.com/brvfiXikCX
The exact cause of the crash, the number of people and vehicles involved, the extent of injuries, and the reopening of lanes will be added after our team learns more.
