NORTH BOULDER, CO – A woman was sent to the hospital following a pin-in collision in North Boulder on Sunday.

The crash happened before 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of 19th Street and Yarmouth Avenue. Preliminary details from Boulder police reveal that a teenage girl was operating a Jeep. It appears that instead of reversing the Jeep or putting it into park, she accidentally pressed on the gas pedal, hitting a woman who was standing in front.

The woman was behind a trailer, and when she was struck by the Jeep, she became pinned between both modes of transportation.

The woman, 41, sustained serious injuries, and she was transported to a hospital for treatment. The teenage driver was uninjured.

No charges will be filed.
