AURORA, CO – A pedestrian was hospitalized with potentially life-threatening injuries after a 6th Avenue car accident Tuesday morning, Denver 7 reports.

According to the Aurora Police Department, the accident occurred around 4:52 am near Potomac Street. It involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver remained on the scene.

Eastbound 6th avenue was closed at Potomac Street for two and a half hours following the incident.
