DENVER, CO – A pedestrian who walked alongside a crosswalk in Harvey Park was struck by an on-coming vehicle, which led him to suffer fatal injuries Thursday.

The collision happened before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Sheridan Boulevard and West Evans Avenue, according to Denver Police. After arriving, ambulance personnel rushed the walker to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Officers’ preliminary details showed that the driver did have the right of way at the time of the crash. With that said, it appears the driver was not cited and should not expect to face any criminal charges.
