DENVER, CO – One person lost their life Tuesday morning as a result of a pedestrian collision on Interstate 225 in southeast Denver, reports CBS News Colorado.
The fatal incident unfolded between Yosemite Street and DTC Boulevard, prompting an emergency response at about 4:00 a.m.
Details are limited at this time, but Denver Police confirmed the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The involved driver, who remained at the crash site, cooperated with investigators. Officials did not say whether charges or citations are anticipated.
By about 5:50 a.m., I-225 was re-opened in both directions.
