AURORA, CO – A motorcyclist had to go to the hospital for treatment of serious wounds after getting hit by a vehicle east of Cherry Creek State Park Monday.
Aurora police said the collision happened before 3 p.m. at the intersection of East Quincy Avenue and East Smoky Hill Road, which is along Windsor Meadow Hills Apartments.

Crews closed a majority of the intersection and told drivers to use South Parker Road and East Belleview Road as an alternative route.
Officials reopened the area at around 4:50 p.m. The exact cause of the crash has not been reported.
