GREELY, CO – A man and a woman lost their lives as a result of a fiery crash involving a semi-truck on the outskirts of Greely on Saturday, 9News reports.

The collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. at 95th Avenue and Weld County Road 57. Greely Police determined that the driver of a Subaru WRX rear-ended a semi-truck that was slowly turning west onto Weld County Road 57 from 95th Avenue.

The driver of the Subaru did not slow down, and the car caught on fire after colliding with the truck.

The Subaru driver, a 49-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 36-year-old man from Loveland, died. The Weld County Coroner’s Office has not released their identities.

The truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
