BROOMFIELD, CO — A 41-year-old man lost his life after a head-on collision on Highway 287 South that happened Thursday afternoon.
Broomfield police first announced the crash at 5:10 p.m. After arriving, EMS crews took the 41-year-old man and another injured individual to a hospital. There, the 41-year-old died, and the other person was treated for unspecified injuries.

Officers and crews shut down all southbound lanes, starting at Miramonte Boulevard and ending at Dillon Road, to accommodate the scene clearance process. Officials left one northbound lane to accommodate the flow of traffic.
