DENVER, CO – A male pedestrian’s life was claimed in a crash involving a RTD Line A train on Monday, CBS News said.

The male pedestrian was struck by a train in the area of Smith Road and Dahlia Street around 10 a.m. The male pedestrian was hit when the crossing gate was down, and the lights were flashing.

The pedestrian died from his injuries at the scene.

The 24 people on board were unharmed.

Following the collision, the train’s service was halted and temporarily replaced with shuttle buses.
