FORT LUPTON, CO – A major accident has shut down a section of US Highway 85 on Wednesday morning, Denver 7 Traffic reports.
The accident occurred just south of Fort Lupton around 8:30 am. Authorities closed down the southbound lanes of US Highway 85 at Highway 52 shortly after. Surrounding county roads are reportedly nearly gridlocked as of publication.
