Investigators searching for hit-and-run drivers in fatal I-25 accident

DENVER, CO – Authorities are looking for two hit-and-run drivers involved in a deadly multi-vehicle accident on I-25 last Tuesday, The Denver Post reports.

The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of I-25 near West Eighth Avenue around 10:15 p.m. last Tuesday night. It began when an unidentified driver collided with the back of another vehicle, pushing it into a stalled vehicle. A motorcyclist carrying a passenger then struck the pileup, and both were thrown from the bike.

According to police, the motorcycle driver died at the scene, and the passenger was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car struck by the motorcycle was taken to the hospital as well.

A white pickup truck and a blue sedan fled the scene. Investigators are trying to identify the drivers.
