JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO – A semitrailer flipped over on Highway 285, causing delays in both directions on Monday, Fox 31 reports.

According to the Colorado State Police, the accident occurred near Turkey Creek Road around 4 p.m. when a black Subaru was hit by the truck. The truck’s trailer flipped over, blocking traffic and spilling lettuce onto Highway 285’s southbound lanes. The truck driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

All but one of the northbound lanes of Highway 285 were closed between Parmalee Gulch Road and Morrison Road while Colorado Department of Transportation crews cleaned up the debris. The southbound experienced heavy delays, as well.
