First responders called to CO-470 vehicle accident in Littleton

LITTLETON, CO – Fire crews and law enforcement were summoned to the scene of a vehicle accident that occurred on CO-470 East on Thursday.

The collision took place near West Ken Caryl Avenue, KDVR reports. At least one ambulance, fire truck, and police cruiser were seen at the scene. Upon arrival, officials shut down CO-470 East between West Ken Caryl Avenue and South Kipling Parkway.

At the time of the reporting, authorities were said to have closed the area for about 15 minutes so Colorado Department of Transportation crews could clear the scene of the crash. During closures, drivers were asked to use Ken Caryl Avenue as an alternative route.

Officials have not disclosed the number of people and vehicles involved or said whether anyone was injured.

Authorities are working to determine how the collision unfolded.
