EAST BOULDER, CO – An e-bike rider was hospitalized after a crash with a car that occurred in East Boulder on Sunday.
Boulder police said the collision happened after 5 p.m. at the intersection of South Boulder Road and Manhattan Circle. Eyewitnesses told officers that a 77-year-old man riding an e-bike had gone into the path of an oncoming Hyundai Sonata car coming from northbound Manhattan Circle.
The Hyundai driver was traveling on a green light and swerved to try to avoid hitting the bike rider. However, a crash proved to be inevitable, and the E-biker rider was left in serious condition.
EMS crews transported the E-bike rider to a hospital, where he is recovering.
