DENVER, CO – A driver died following a rollover crash that occurred at the South Platte River on Sunday, CBS News reports.
The rollover crash occurred after 5:30 p.m. off the intersection of East 58th Avenue and York Street. The Adams County Fire Rescue team believed the driver was speeding while operating their vehicle. The driver went on to lose control of their vehicle, which led it to overturn and crash into the river.
Good Samaritans saw what unfolded and rushed to help the driver escape their vehicle prior to the first responders’ arrival.
EMS crews hurried the driver to a hospital, where they later died.
