DOWNTOWN DENVER, CO – A Denver police officer operating a motorcycle was left in serious condition following a collision with another vehicle Wednesday.
The crash happened at the intersection of West 13th Avenue & Elati Street,which is west of the Denver Police Department. Officers arrived at the scene before 7:15 p.m. A photo from an eyewitness revealed that the motorcycle had landed directly in front of the black car.

Ambulance personnel hurried the wounded officer to a nearby hospital, where they are recovering.
The police department has launched their own investigation. At this time, they have not stated if the officer was placed on administrative leave or have released a formal statement regarding the contributing factors behind the crash.
