LOVELAND, CO – On Sunday, Colorado State Patrol identified the big rig driver who was killed in a collision on I-25 North that happened last month.
According to 9News, the driver was identified as Garrett Fred of Fort Collins. The crash occurred around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21. Preliminary details show that Fred had drifted off his lane and crashed into a guardrail.
The truck overturned, and Fred was ejected. He died from his injuries at the scene.
CSP said they closed two northbound lanes for several hours to accommodate the investigation and scene clearance process.
