DENVER, CO – Colorado Department of Transportation had to shut down the majority of the westbound I-76 near East 470 due to a Tuesday morning collision.

Jayson Luber, Denver 7 Traffic’s leading traffic expert, first announced the crash at 5:41 a.m. CoDOT left one lane open to accommodate the flow of traffic. During the closures, Luber recommended that drivers use southbound Highway 85 instead.

At this time, officials have not said if anyone was injured or listed the number of vehicles or occupants there.

A full investigation is underway.
