Box truck overturns in Denver, sending 1 to hospital

DENVER, CO – One person was sent to the hospital following a box truck rollover crash that happened on I-25 South near the Orchard Road exit on Thursday. 

The impact of the collision caused the truck to overturn and land on its side, according to KDVR. 

While the truck did not block lanes of traffic, South Metro Fire Rescue was left with no other option than to shut down the interstate so they could stabilize the truck. 

Officials reopened all lanes around 2:45 p.m. 

Authorities did not specify if the injured individual was a driver or occupant, nor did they disclose their current physical condition. 

The exact cause of the rollover crash is under investigation.
