AURORA, CO – Aurora Police arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a female pedestrian on Friday.
The collision occurred around 5:15 a.m. in the area of Havana Street and East 4th Way, according to Denver 7. Aurora police confirmed the suspect was driving a 2007 blue Toyota Corolla with Colorado license plate number CYXB39 when he struck the suspect.

The car sustained heavy front-end damage, and the suspect fled the scene in his car without rendering aid to the female pedestrian, who died from her injuries.
Aurora police later found the suspect and arrested him for leaving the scene of a crash involving death, a felony. They have since identified him as 31-year-old Marcos Ortega-Lopez.
The pedestrian’s identity has not been disclosed.
