News: 2 women in their 20s killed in wrong-way collision in Denver

DENVER, CO – On Thursday, Denver police confirmed that two women in their late 20s were killed following a wrong-way collision that happened on Halloween Day.

The crash occurred on I-25 on Friday, Oct. 31, according to CBS News. Police said a 28-year-old woman was driving south on northbound I-25 when she collided head-on
with another vehicle driven by a 29-year-old woman.

Police said the wrong-way driver was previously driving the wrong way on Auraria Parkway, and the other driver was heading off from a bartending shift at Atomic Cowboy. The two drivers died from their injuries at the scene.

The wrong-way driver was identified as 28-year-old Anna Laumann, and the 29-year-old woman as Jamie Kisting. Police are working to determine the contributing factors behind the crash.
