ERIE, CO – Two people lost their lives in a plane collision that happened near the Erie Municipal Airport on Sunday afternoon.
The Denver Gazette said Erie police, Mountain View Fire Rescue, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Transportation Safety Board responded to the scene after 3:30 p.m.
Officials said the occupants were inside a JMB Aircraft VL-3. As of this writing, authorities have not specified how the crash unfolded, nor have they released the victims’ names.
