THORNTON, CO – EMS crews rushed two people to a nearby hospital after a solo collision in the 1000th block of Russell Boulevard Sunday.
Thornton police revealed the crash happened before 9:15 a.m. After arriving, they closed the area for more than two hours for the scene clearance and investigation period. All lanes reopened before noon.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation. No criminal charges have been formally announced.
