AURORA, CO – A woman was killed and three others, including a toddler, were injured in a head-on collision between an SUV and a Regional Transportation District bus on Thursday.
The crash took place around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of East 30th Street and East Park Lane Drive, according to 9 News. Preliminary details suggest that the woman, the SUV driver, may have been speeding and possibly intoxicated while driving.
EMS crews rushed the woman and her passenger, her one-year-old child, and the bus driver and another bus occupant to a hospital.
The woman died from her injuries, and her one-year-old child was left in serious condition. The bus occupants are recovering from injuries that appear to be non-life-threatening.
