LOVELAND, CO – One life was claimed, and two others were sent to the hospital following a multi-vehicle wreck that involved a box truck on Tuesday.

The collision occurred around 12:30 p.m. near the I-25 and Crossroads Boulevard connector, according to Denver7. The details leading up to the mult-vehicle crash remain scarce. However, Colorado State Patrol said it was between a Chevy pickup truck hauling a trailer, a Kia Telluride, a Lexus SUV, and a box truck.

The force of the collision caused a Lexus SUV passenger, a juvenile, to die from their injuries. Ambulance crews said two adults from the Lexus SUV were injured and were sent to the emergency room for treatment.

Medics evaluated the box truck driver for injuries and indicated that they were unharmed.

CSP previously responded to a separate crash that happened on the shoulder and reported no injuries for those occupants.

Authorities shut down the northbound lanes for an extended period of time to accommodate the scene clean-up process and overall investigation.
